Welcome to the small, strength-based municipality with great opportunities!

Here you have the chance to contribute with socially important services, for those we serve, together with your colleagues. We start from health factors and have a strength-based approach that focuses on the strengths of individuals as well as the organization. This is also what we communicate and give feedback on. You are given sustainable working conditions, prerequisites to grow and contribute to collegial learning. We are guided by development potential, pride, and humanity, and we expect you to do the same.

About the operations

Hylte Municipality offers a socially important operation where safety, security, and preparedness are in focus. As a Security Coordinator, you belong to the municipality's newly formed security unit at the secretariat department within the municipal administration. The unit consists of a Security Manager, a Safety Coordinator, an Information Security Coordinator, and two Security Coordinators, one of whom you will be. Within the group, everyone has their own areas of responsibility, but they work closely together and take a joint approach to reduce vulnerability and avoid the risk of working in silos.

The unit drives the strategic, municipality-wide work within security and preparedness and works closely with the municipality's different administrations to support them in measures within the areas we are responsible for.

Job Responsibilities

In the role of Security Coordinator, you will have an important role in the municipality's work to strengthen capabilities within crisis preparedness and civil defense, as well as the municipality's overall security capability. The role involves both operational implementation and development of governance, planning, and follow-up within the security and preparedness area.

You also lead, guide, and develop the work with security protection together with the Security Protection Manager and function as a qualified support to the operations in security and preparedness matters.

Your tasks may include, for example:

  • develop and manage the municipality's war organization
  • lead the work with risk and vulnerability analysis, continuity management, and other preparedness planning
  • support the work with security protection
  • contribute to the municipality's information security work
  • produce governing documents, routines, and decision support materials
  • follow up on implemented measures and support the operations in their security work
  • plan and conduct training, exercises, and information campaigns
  • collaborate with internal and external actors such as rescue services, police, county administrative board, and other municipalities.

Follow-up and reporting of implemented efforts are a natural part of the assignment.

The role will develop over time based on the municipality's needs and your experience. Therefore, there are good opportunities to influence both working methods and areas of responsibility.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who want to contribute to a safer society and have a strong commitment to issues within security, crisis preparedness, and civil defense. You are structured and analytical with a good ability to see the big picture and drive the work forward independently. You find it easy to collaborate and communicate, and thrive in a role where you get to guide others and spread knowledge. As a person, you are secure, stable, and pedagogical. To be relevant for the position, we see that you have:

  • University education or post-secondary education in social sciences, security, security protection, crisis preparedness, or a similar area. You may also have other education combined with work experience that the employer deems relevant and equivalent.
  • Good ability to analyze risks and vulnerabilities and to work in a structured and systematic manner
  • Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish
  • Good collaboration skills and experience working both independently and together with others
  • Pedagogical ability and interest in training and sharing knowledge

  • Tell about a time when you conducted or contributed to a risk and vulnerability analysis or similar systematic analysis work. How did you proceed and how was the result used?
  • Give an example of when you trained or exercised a group, for example, a crisis management organization or similar. How did you set it up and what did the participants take away?
